Greetings to all.

I'm Thulani Makabane, and I'm 27 years old. born and raised in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. I study for a Higher Certificate in Sound Production (Engineering) at SAE Institute and work as a barista part-time at Siki's Coffee Cafe to keep my head above water as a travelling student from khayelitsha.

After my acceptance to SAE, my mother, who is a widow, and I moved in together. She works as a domestic worker.
We can only make ends meet, so she is unable to pay for my tuition, studies, or attendance at the university, but I managed to get in.

In the beginning, everything appeared hopeful since I had an outstanding balance of R26 500 ($1 386.89) and a justification for my deferral for the class of 2024 

the duration of HIGHER CERTIFICATE is 1 year AND 3 years in BACHELOR OF ARTS in Sound Engineering.

 

the difficulties i have faced last year was not being able to attend classes as i as unable to travel and had been under the pressure of having to raise funds for the course and that is the main reason for my deferral for the class of 2024 as my attendance was low and also had been given a chance to start over the class.
