Dear Supporters,

I am Thomas Vorster, a passionate individual who, since the age of 16, has been driven by a singular purpose: to do good and bring hope in our society. I firmly believe that my path to achieving this is through the practice of law, so that I may help those in hard legal situations.

My dedication to this cause led me to work tirelessly throughout my schooling years, culminating in an APS score of 37. This achievement opened the doors to the University of Pretoria, renowned for having the finest law faculty in Africa, where I was accepted to pursue an LLB degree.

The journey thus far has been both rewarding and challenging. The admission fee of 7.5K, coupled with the 47K tuition for my first year (2023), stretched my resources to their limits. I made significant sacrifices, parting with personal belongings, including my phone and a cherished Xbox i received as a gift, to meet the registration fees.

As I look ahead to 2024, I am faced with a daunting registration fee of 10K. I embarked on this journey fully aware of the financial challenges it would entail, but I held onto the hope that my academic excellence would secure me a bursary. Unfortunately, this has not yet come to pass.

In light of these circumstances, I am reaching out to you through this crowdfunding initiative. This is my final recourse to raise the necessary funds before the February deadline next year. Rest assured, every cent raised will be directed towards my university fees, enabling me to continue my studies.
