Personal message
Our mission is to grow and strengthen the art and sport of live fire cooking in South Africa along sustainable, ethical standards and represent South African enthusiasts through links with international counterparts, offering them the opportunity to match their skills against the best in the world.
By linking with international counterparts, we offer South Africans the opportunity to compete internationally.
At the same time, we introduce South Africa’s unique flavour on the world stage through international competitions.
This will be the second time that a team of South Africans will be able to compete on an international stage at Meatstock in Sydney, Australia.
Funds will be used for the following things:
- Visas & Travel Admin = R15, 000
- Flights = R95, 000
- Accommodation = R35, 000
- Local Travel = R20, 000
- Meals = R15, 000
- Competition entry fees = R7, 500
- Competition ingredients = R25, 000
- Miscellaneous team expenses: R20,000

SAFSMA is a non-profit organisation aiming to elevate the art and culture of open-fire cooking in South Africa and Africa.
Through international affiliations, we'll introduce the world to our uniquely South African style of outdoor cooking.
