While the Teddy Bear Foundation strives to quell the ever growing scourge of child abuse, we play a part in assisting any child in need of our help. Teenage pregnancy may exist for a multitude of reasons, but regardless of your situation we will do everything in our power to help, guide and protect any young women and their families. 

But we can do little without the constant support and passion of our donors, who continue to make everything we do possible, here at the Teddy Bear Foundation. Their generocity continues to inspire us to keep up the important work we offer society.

The advent of teenage pregnacy in South Africa is an ever growing problem for the young men and women of this country and for their development as humans. In 2020 the South African government recorded 35,000 teenage pregnancies with 600 of those being girls younger than than the age of 13. The younger the teen is when pregnant, the more likely she will be to have another pregnancy. 

While we provide medical, forensic and theraputic guidance to our teenagers in need, accompanied with many other services, we also strive to build preventative measures in schools. We do so by offering students prosocial skills designed to enable teenages to distinguish between risky and protective behaviour, while simultaneously providing them with the neccissary information to make informed choices. 

We aim to raise R60,000 which equates to providing 1500 young girls with the neccissary skills required to take control of their lives and prevent more teenage pregnancies. For just R40 you can assist a young girl in breaking the cycle.
