Personal message

As a new runner I have really been struck by the importance of support both emotion and physical. I have learnt that, although we all run our own race, we all need other people around us offering support and advice.

From fetching my kids, forcing me to eat a marmite sandwich at 40kms or organizing club runs and sweetie trucks every weekend. It all counts. It all makes it possible for me to keep running.

Rainbows and Smiles provides support for families going through the unimaginable. Emotional and financial support. A chance to have a moment of normalcy in an awful situation. So this is me showing my support for a fantastic organization.

And this is also me asking you to do the same. The comrades is 86ish kms this year - donate a buck a km and show your support for a bunch of fantastic women who have been through hell, come out the other side and now spend their time supporting others as they find their way through.
