Personal message

On 10th October I will be joining some other mad swimmers in a quest to relay swim across Tanzania's version of the English Channel, the Swahili Channel, that lies between Zanzibar island and mainland Tanzania. I am aiming to swim 10 km of the total 35 km crossing which should take around 5 hours. I am doing this for my husband Richard, who died in February, to raise money for a Tanzanian childrens charity. I am also told it should be a fun experience, if I can manage to keep my mind off the sharks!!
