On March of 2023 my husband informed me that he met someone a week ago online and they are in love. He wants to get a divorce and move in with her asap.
He left that day leaving me with our 5 year old daughter and 5 month old son. He moved in with his new GF - Double story house, cars and owning her own business. I filed for a divorce and slowly but surely started mending our lives and just trying to make things normal for the kids. A month after he moved in he informed me that she is pregnant and he wont be able to see the kids or be part of their lives he needs to focus on his new GF and baby. I did not let that throw me off my mission to still give my kids the best loved home and let them know i will always be there for them.
On July 10th i got the news that I am being retrenched. I have done everything in power to make ends meet and providing for my kids the way I promised to to.
Applying for jobs, selling things here and there, online surveys. But the last 2 months has taken its toll and i could not come up with the outstanding rent amount. And we are now looking at being evicted and the land lord has been understanding but i also do understand she needs to get her income as she is a pensioner. The maintenace i get only covers a portion of the rent, and then i still need to pay for food, electricity and all other necessities for the kids.
I am not asking for much i just want my kids to still have a home for Christmas, if i can just pay the outstanding amount and maybe 2 months in advance i still have time to get on my feet again without worrying about the rent. I know next year will be better and i just need to keep my faith.
