With no help or assistance from our municipality, Villiersdorp township dogs are suffering. With no funds at all to support with sterilizations and medical assistance, there are endless abandoned puppies, outbreaks of parvo, bilary and distemper, starving dogs, even dead dogs. Villiersdorp situated in the Theewaterkloof region of the Overberg needs help. Any help. There are unusable kennels needing repairs, water and electricity. With literally only a handful of people willing to help with limited recourses, this is a serious problem in Villiersdorp. Our Municipality decided to back away with arms in the air saying its not their responsibility. Its Christmas season and its hot out there. The dogs dont have clean drinking water or a food supply of any kind. We need help. All help and assistance and any funding will be documented and kept records of. Dogfood, bowls, blankets and a safe place for abandoned dogs are needed. Suffering and sick dogs need Vet assistance but there are no funds. Some Welfares have come and gone, some fought a good fight but its an endless battle. Please help our community. Sterilisations cost money but the more sterilisations done means less abandoned sick animals everywhere.
