Join #ClubfootChampion Martene Esteves, as she cycles the 947 Cycle Challenge for children born with clubfoot. 

Clubfoot is a common birth defect that causes permanent disability unless treated. Every year approximately 2 000 children are born with clubfoot in South Africa.

Steps has the solution and we make an immediate impact on children’s lives.

  • Steps is a unique and innovative non-profit organisation that introduced an effective and non-invasive solution that is life-changing for these babies.
  • Just R2 500 per child means that we can support their successful treatment.
  • Steps fills the gaps in our under-resourced and overworked failing public health sector.
  • We contribute to South Africa’s economy by eliminating not only the disability, but also the grants that would normally be paid by government. We give these children a chance for a normal and productive life (for moreinfo about Steps’ award-winning impact model see attached brochure). 

Steps currently supports about 50% of children born with clubfoot every year, and we want to raise more funds so we can expand our programme to rural and outlying areas.

To join is a minimum of R1000, which includes addition to charity bond and Steps branded cycle jersey.
