Hi All

I will be doing the 94.7 Cycle Challenge and would like to challenge you to sponsor me to raise funds for Heneka Haven.

What is Heneka Haven? Based in Pretoria, and linked to the Doxa Deo East Church, Heneka Haven is a home caring for abandoned children with special needs. The biological parents usually abandon these children due to their severe mental and physical disabilities, which include being blind and deaf, suffering from epilepsy and a number of other serious conditions. Some are also HIV positive with a generally short life expectancy. History of the charity? Heneka Haven has existed for about ten years, at present we’ve got 11 children with us. What will the funds be used for? Our day to day expenses are very high; all of our babies are on nappies, due to their disabilities. We use more or less between 80 and 90 nappies per day, 2 of our bigger babies is on young adult nappies, which is very expensive. Due to their low immune systems they get sick very quick, so our medical expenses are very high.
