Personal message

I started working on this dream about a year ago after my mom's cancer took a turn for the worse. I sat down and challenged myself to write down my goals for the next 5 years and in doing so I also committed myself to set out the road-map I would need to follow to ensure these goals were achievable. My mom was the one person to keep me grounded and always challenged me to push my limitations further than what I thought was possible, by always putting God first. She has since passed on but her legacy remains within me and as long as I have a breath of air in my lungs I will continue to reach for the stars in honour of her memory.  

In starting this journey I was very fortunate to start partnering with an incredible charity called Rainbows and Smiles. They focus on supporting kids living with cancer and they add incredible joy and love to these kids’ lives.  These kids have an amazing spirit and I am always amazed that kids living with this terrible disease, have the ability to inspire everyone around them by living life to the full!  They tend not to see the obstacles, but rather see an opportunity to make others smile...

I have challenged myself this year to make an attempt to summit Kilimanjaro in support of the Rainbows and Smiles Foundation. I will be starting my expedition on the morning of the 1st of September 2017 and by the grace of God I will be watching the sun rise from the summit over the Serengeti on the morning of the 5th of September 2017.

Please join me on this journey and help me give a little back to those needing it the most. The money you donate will enable Rainbows and Smiles to give hope to some of these kids, who are currently facing challenges which kids should not have to deal with.
