Help Rescue 6 Gorgeous Dogs!

I got a call on Saturday morning (6th January) about 6 dogs we had been trying to rescue since December.

Our plans to locate them had come to nothing so when the call came in, we sprung into action immediately and went to collect them.

Their owner could no longer look after them and was struggling to feed and care for them and they were in a mess, with one of them in very critical condition.

Health & Safety First

I immediately took them somewhere I knew had space, where they could all be together.

Next step was the vet as they needed urgent flea & tick and worming treatment.

The vet confirmed that Tammy, the dog in critical condition, not only has cancer, but also had tick bite fever, hence the dramatic weight loss.

Please Help To Fund Their Expenses!

As always, we moved in faith, never letting money stop us from getting the animals the care they need.

We were able to put the vet portion of their expenses on account, giving us a small amount of time to find the money.

There were also fuel and transport costs in ferrying them around to different foster homes, accommodation for myself and high quality food to provide them with the nourishment they need.

Itemised Expenses

I have itemised everything and attached the receipts I have in the link below, it's surprising how quickly costs mount up.

- Worming tablets

- Flea & tick treatment

- Vet check-ups for Tammy & Limit

- Liver supplement & antibiotics for Tammy

- Vitamin injections for Tammy & Limit

- Microchips (to help ensure their safety for the rest of their lives)

- High quality food - chicken breasts, liver, beef mince & rice

- Transport from Cederberg to Wellington to Paarl to Porterville to Malmesbury and back to Cederberg

- 3 night's acccommodation for me to get them all sorted in foster homes

- Bag of special prescription diet Hills food for Tammy

- A little extra to cover BackABuddy Transaction Fees as not everyone covers

Tammy Needs a Sponsor(s)

Tammy will also need a sponsor or a collection of sponsors to deal with her cancer, but first we need to build her up.

We anticipate that she will need a good 2 months to give her the nourishment and nurturing she needs so that she's strong enough for the next steps.

She is in the best possible hands with an ex Vet Nurse who has a lot of experience in loving better dogs like Tammy who are in critical condition.

Please Donate Whatever You Feel

Please donate whatever is on your heart to help these 6 gorgeous dogs.

And if you feel you can sponsor Tammy for the next stage of her journey, that would be amazing.

When you click the Donation button, you will be given an option to cover the BackABuddy transaction fees, this will enable us to receive the full amount.

Rescue Update

Tammy (the thin brown female with cancer and tick fever in critical condition) is in specialist foster care and Lady (small light brown female with eyes that melt your heart) has gone to a lovely forever home and is now Lassie.

Brownie (white Maltese female with amber brown eyes), Limit (white Maltese male with dark brown eyes), Lucky (small black & white female) and Kolletjies (brown and white male with dots on his face) are all being fostered together.

They are all safe, happy and in excellent hands and I am busy looking for forever homes. Please apply if you feel drawn!

About Me

I have been rescuing dogs for over 5 years and am one of the very few people in rescue who does every aspect myself.

There is so much involved when you rescue an animal, never mind when you rescue 6 at once!!

Transport, funding, fostering, feeding, marketing, applications, home checks and placement, I do it all, but this is only possible with your help, it's a team effort.
