I am the wife of a young aspiring pilot who has been trying to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a glider pilot and instructor, with the hopes of one day opening his own Glider Club to be able to train other young aspiring pilots just like himself.For most this may seem like an unreachable dream or even a hobby, but for Sheldon this is everything, this is a dream that he has been nurturing since he was a little boy, some of his High School teachers will also remember a younger version of Sheldon sprinting out of the classroom in the middle of a lesson just to watch the planes fly by...
Amazingly Sheldon does that till this day, no matter what he is doing inside, if a plane flies over, he sprints out of the house just to see it fly by.
Unfortunately life happened and he could never officially start his training, but despite the hardships and the times he was so close but yet so far he has never lost faith or trust that God had a bigger plan for him. So whatever life throws at him, he still has faith that God will help him accomplish this dream.
But with all big dreams comes big expenses that a person cannot always pay on their own, because for one to become a Glider Pilot a person needs to go for a medical every few years which includes but are not limited to blood tests, x - rays, fitness test etc. You need to pay membership fees for the various bodies that run the sport and then of course the training fees that can easily rack up to thousands with travelling to the clubs that does the training and also paying for the training and the rental of the glider.
I am humbly asking anyone that is willing to help or even just share this post to please do it. I want to see my husband succeed and achieve his dream of becoming a glider pilot and instructor. I have honestly never seen someone be this passionate over something.
