A big Scottish & South African hello!

Thank's for visiting our fundraising page.

We have decided to Be A Sport and raise funds for Afrika Tikkun by cycling the Pick 'n Pay Cape Argus Cycle Tour. Each Cyclist who rides in the Afrika Tikkun Cycle Stars Team has been challenged to see how many children they can send to school by the end of their race. It costs R2160 a year to send a child to one of Afrika Tikkun?s Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD). Our goal is to send LOTS kids to school. 

Children that attend pre-school are less likely to turn to crime and are more likely to become productive citizens. Afrika Tikkun centres that host pre school facilities are much more than a classroom, they are safe havens for small children who do not enjoy a safe upbringing in a township. This has a direct impact on economic improvement making stronger and healthier communities in South Africa!

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
