Meet Saskia Moniz, the remarkable 16-year-old from humble beginnings, who holds the title of SA Junior Ladies Waveski Champion

Saskia's journey in waveskiing is truly inspiring despite her shy and timid nature. Her early connection with water and the discovery of her love for waveskiing at such a young age showcase her natural talent and passion for the sport. Navigating the male-dominated waveskiing community hasn't been without its challenges for Saskia, however her dedication and love for waveskiing has made her a standout competitor.

The fact that Saskia started her waveskiing journey at the age of 14 and has already become the current SA Junior Ladies Waveski Champion speaks volumes about her skill and determination. The support she has received from her parents, who have made many sacrifices for her dream, as well as the generosity of others, highlights the importance of a strong support system in pursuing one's goals.

Being selected to represent South Africa in the 2024 World Waveski  Championships is a significant accomplishment and a testament to Saskia's hard work and talent. It's a great opportunity for her to showcase her skills on the international stage and inspire others, especially young girls, to pursue their passions in sports, however she needs our collective support to transform her aspiration of competing against the world's finest into a reality.

A sum of R30,000 is indispensable to cover various expenses, including entry fees, essential training camps, transportation, accommodation etc.
