This fundraiser is for funding our father, Roelf van Niekerk's cancer journey.
In 2023 Roelf was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in his left and right ear. A whole part of his left ear had to be amputated and reconstructed. This was done at The Zuid Afrikaanse Hospitaal. Scans showed afterwords that there might be hidden cancer behind or in his salibary glands.
Roelf has to start radiation therapy everyday for 5 weeks as soon as possible as the cancer is stage 3 or 4.
He has no medical aid and has to do the radiation at a state hospital, who have let us down on their scans not working and taking away time.
We want to raise R25 000 for our father to get the best he needs as we can not wait any longer for the radiation. We would use the funds for his radiation therapy and doctors visits.
