It's official - I've gone mad! That's right, I'll be joining the Madswimmers in the challenge to swim around the Balearic Island (commonly referred to as Ibiza!)

This 106km swim - split over 4 days - is far beyond any challenge I have encountered before. I am hoping that a distant background of swimming and lifesaving will be enough to get my body through the kilometres. But more than that I am going to need some extra motivation when the going gets tough...

Please help by supporting the charity that this swim is in aid of: the Guild Cottage in Parktown, Johannesburg, is a specialist residential treatment centre for sexually abused and traumatized children. Every cent raised from this swim will be going directly to them.

A donation of any size would be appreciated by the children at Guild Cottage, as well as ensuring I stay in the water to complete the daunting task ahead!
