Personal message

Hi, I am Sabelo and this year I am taking part in the 947 Ride Joburg road race for Botshabelo Babies Home. 

I had a rough start at life that eventually led to me staying in the streets. When I was in need I was blown away by how much the community would come together to help me through the tough times. It is because of this that I want to play part in bringing joy and smiles where they are needed the most.

I want to raise funds for the babies  so they have the care and love that I never experienced at a young age. 

Please help me make a difference in changing these young lives........

Botshabelo was established in the year 2000 as a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), focusing on children’s foundation education and transforming teaching approach in South Africa through a partnership with low-income communities. The NPO is constituted by a committed and passionate group of diverse team members. Over the last 20 years, we have reached more than 85 500 beneficiaries across rural and peri-urban areas through our various programmes. 

There are four catalytic programmes that Botshabelo focuses on:

  1. Babies home (Residential care for orphaned babies).
  2. UpliftED teacher training programmes (Early Childhood Development Training).
  3. Urban Kids Educare Centre ( Foundation education).
  4. Urban Closet (2nd Hand Shop)
