Hi!

I am finely back on the bike and decided to do the 947 Cycle Challenge in November, and what better way to do a race than for a good cause!

I will be riding for Beagle Rescue Support and Adoption, whose mission is to rescue and rehome beagles across South Africa.

Rescue of animals is not an easy job for anyone and finding the right homes for the many misunderstood, neglected and often abused Beagles is a constant challenge. All beagles that come into their care are rehabilitated with love and kindness, housed in comfort, fed, vaccinated and sterilized before going to their suitable homes. Some of these Beagles are simply too broken to be re-homed and thus are an on-going financial and emotional responsibility, which Beagle Rescue takes on with both courage and enthusiasm.

Beagle Rescue relies solely on fundraising initiatives to bring in the much-needed capital, to do what they do on a daily basis!

Beagle Rescue And Support

Beagle Rescue and support takes in unwanted beagles and tries to rehabilitate and rehome these animals.

A large majority of the unwanted are from puppy mills, so we get them in the worst state, which means they need to be spayed / neutered before we can start assessing and attempting to get them socialised and used to human interaction.

Beagles are renowned for their forgiving nature and it is due to this that we have a large success rate in getting them to a state where they learn to trust again.
