Good day, and thank you for taking the time to view my Fundraising page.

When The Tusker 230 Mile, African Expedition Ultra-Trail Run was launched, I knew it was a challenge that I could not ignore.

I have been an avid runner since I was 14 years old. Having completed 15 Comrades, multiple Ironman events and most of the ultra-trail races in South Africa.

In April 2019, I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and my new journey through running and life had started. My doctors said that I would never run other Comrades or ultra-event again and I should focus on 10km instead. Immediately I wanted to prove them wrong, so I started setting goals and training. Since then, I have completed several marathons and ultras.

My love of the outdoors and pushing the limits drove me towards The Tusker 370km non-stop, an epic challenge for any healthy athlete let alone someone suffering from a disabling disease like MS.

This, as well as the additional bonus of raising money for a great cause like the Eden to Addo Corridor Initiative, will drive me through to the finish line.

The Eden to Addo vision is to link three mega-reserves, the Garden Route National Park, The Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site and the Addo Elephant National Park by means of natural corridors to protect and restore the integrity of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.
