The Cape Town Cycle Tour will take place on the 12th of March 2023
For this cycle tour, I am riding for a very special buddy, Sizwe. Sizwe is a happy boy who loves all things superheroes. Sizwe was abandoned at the hospital at birth due to a severe lung condition and has been at Home of Hope since.
Sizwe has had an uphill battle with his health since birth, but after many nights in the hospital, medicine and lots of love, he is becoming a healthy tween. Sizwe not only had physical health as a challenge but was also exposed to alcohol in utero, meaning he has extensive intellectual disabilities associated with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Because of this, Sizwe special needs require specialized education and Care as he has not yet mastered all the skills needed to help himself.
To help Sizwe, I would like to raise R12 000.00 towards his immediate needs. Please help me to help Sizwe!
The Rohloff Group has donated the offline donation of R7,633

Home of Hope

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.
The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
