Personal message
The Renal Ward at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, is in dire need of a refurbishment. My daughter Alex Taljard received a transplant here two years ago this month, and I am raising funds on their behalf to paint the ward and replace the bathrooms. Many of the patients and parents in this ward stay for long periods of time (I was one of them), and both parents and sick children would benefit from a cleaner, brighter environment with decent bathrooms.
