Hey guys as you know or dont know im doing the upcoming Argus in Cape Town. I need to raise funds for the Red Cross to build a New teatre and facilities at the hospital for the kids and i really need your support to back me in giving back to the future of our country.
Regrettably words like Dialysis become integral to the reality and even vocabulary, of a critically sick or injured child. At the Children’s Hospital Trust our work is to ensure that the medical facilities and equipment at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital remain world-class offering children the best possible chance of recovery. That way they are able to go home sooner to enjoy the priceless gift of childhood.
The Red Cross Children’s Hospital has the largest ICU for children in Africa, but the demands on this unit are higher than their capacity to delivery. This is the change your donation will bring:
? Increased bed capacity from 22 to 39 beds
? Establishment of 8 isolation cubicles to reduce cross-infection
? Establishment of a 10-bed High Care Unit for neonatal patients
? Establishment of supportive counselling areas for anxious parents & private spaces for breast-feeding mothers
? Improved resting areas for ICU staff who work 24/7
