Raising funds in memory of Brandon Paul Voigt to benefit The Red Cross Children's Hospital

Personal message

My mother (Sandi) and I have been thinking of a way to honour Brandon and we have decided to raise funds for the Oncology Unit of The Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.

For those who were lucky enough to have met Brandon you will know that he had a magical way of engaging with people and especially with smaller children. He could dazzle anyone with his card play and slight of hand. Many have also said how they did not even know that Brandon was battling cancer and this also shows how strong he really was in trying to live as normal life as he could.

Sadly Brandon left this earth on 11 September 2016 and we all continue to process and miss him in our own way, but one thing is for sure is that he would not want anyone else to go through his journey. Thus we think it is only fitting that any funds we are able to raise will go to helping smaller children in helping them to live longer lives due to your donations in his name. We know that he would be giving us a thumbs up right about now.

Why The Childrens Hospital you may ask? Well a little know story is that Brandon was admitted to this hospital when he was 6 years old in 2003 as he was going into a coma with Meningococcal Septicaemia and they actually saved his life, giving us the blessing of 13 more years with this amazing young man.

Should you wish to donate no amount is too small and know that your donation is going to a place where true healing is taking place, and Brandon would really love that.

Brandon shall never be forgotten and by doing this cause our aim is to celebrate his life in a positive and joyous way.
