Raising funds for UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION AND INTUITION FEES

ORT SA is an education NPO. We have been around internationally for 140 years. We raise funds to run educational projects in schools as well as train unemployed youth in skills such as IT.

One of the youths on the ORT SA 1-year work placement programme, Nomaswazi Mlambo explained that she grew up in difficult circumstances, but managed to complete her matric. “Finding work was another huge obstacle for me but then ORT SA came to my rescue. I would like to thank everyone from ORT SA for the support and opportunity that allowed me to be part of your programme. Throughout the 12 months, I felt a part of ORT SA. I didn’t just learn a lot but I grew to be a better person and I am thankful to you for it. I am now going to ….” It is said that for every one person that works in South Africa, seven others are supported by them.

Your support for ORT SA over the years has been invaluable. Helping young people such as Nomaswazi is one way that ORT fulfills its mission of ‘Making People Employable.” Our other programmes, such as training teachers, holding coding clubs for hundreds of disadvantaged pupils, and helping businesses, especially through these dramatic times, need to continue to assist South Africans through education and training to obtain the futures they deserve.
