Rainbows and Smiles is a registered charity that has stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic, they have ensured that the vulnerable cancer children are protected.  They have also expanded their support to include the COVID-19 children’s ward. 

People with a pre-existing condition, like oncology children, appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.

A kind-hearted group of humans have united to run on the 14th of June 2020 to aid this NPO.   Please support your “person” as they run in spirit and unity to create awareness for Rainbows and Smiles, childhood cancer. 

Those of us that have been trapped inside our homes have certainly not been running at our “normal” endurance level.  Regardless of the distance, your human runs – it WILL be a challenge for them. 

We are bonding together (but apart due to social distancing regulations) and taking up the challenge to run for little legends fighting childhood cancer.  These vulnerable children need us now more than ever. 

The team at Rainbows and Smiles have tirelessly been assisting the hospitals with the COVID-19 looming pandemic.  If our COVID-19 paediatric wards are ready – our exposed children will be protected. 

We are aware that these are difficult times.  But YOUR CHANGE can make a CHANGE. 

Please consider donating R1 per kilometre to your favourite “running buddy”.

None of us have trained for this challenge but children do not get the train for cancer, and our susceptible certainly have no control over this horrific virus.

Disclaimer:  All our runners commit to adhering to the government regulations of exercising between 6am and 6pm, we will not be running as a group but will be united in our efforts.  Proper social distancing and hand sanitation regulations will apply, and each runner will be provided with a branded mask.
