Personal message

We at African Footprints of Hope Organisation (AFOHO) believe in creating a brighter tomorrow, today. Thus we are excited to announce our vision for 2024.

To raise funds to settle student debts. The plight of these students is close to our heart as we believe in investing in our youth and we firmly believe that these are the change makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers for the current pressing issues affecting our country at the moment.

Responding to a Parliamentary question referred to the Minister of Higher Education and Training, he responded that over 120,000 students in the country have passed their courses but yet to receive their degrees and transcripts due to their outstanding fees.

This has led to billions owed by students in universities across the country. Without that proof of qualification, their future is placed on hold and this challenge has further added to the crisis of high unemployment of young people in the country.

How you can make a difference - it's Simple!! We welcome a donation on one of our crowdfunding platforms. In doing so, you will be helping to create a brighter future. Imagine how much more positive South Africa could be with more change makers in the economy. Should this initiative resonate with you, we can issue a Section 18A Tax Rebate certificate in return for your support as well as social media coverage.

Your support will ensure that the students at 4 of the leading Higher Education Institutions; Rhodes University, Nelson Mandela University, University Of Fort Hare, and Walter Sisulu University, who have outstanding fees will be able to have their fees settled. We are aiming to raise R10,000,000.00 to address the outstanding fees of the students in the Eastern Cape.

+- 120 000 students across the country from our leading Universities face uncertain futures. Due to financial hardships, they cannot settle the amount due to the university. Without the fees being paid in full they cannot get their degrees and transcripts.

Without their qualifications, they fall into the pit of unemployment. Yet, with their knowledge and degrees, they could instead create employment or share their knowledge to bring relief or provide a scarce skill and contribute to the local economy.

No matter how small your donation, it is a step closer to enabling graduates to begin their new future.
