Why I want to enter the PACT Kennel Challenge:

PACT is something truly special. I had heard of and followed PACT and the incredible work they do before even moving to Durban, yet when I got to see this organisation in action for myself, my already high opinion was effortlessly surpassed.

Not only do the people of PACT witness the most heartbreaking cases as they do the most difficult work in the most lacking of environments, but they do it with such relentless compassion that I am left in awe after every case.

I know that the current pandemic has left us all in more challenging positions than normal, but this also applies to the organisations involved in animal welfare. So many animals are suffering the consequences of lockdown as people are not in the position to take care of their companions, which adds an even heavier load to the horrific cases that PACT deals with on a regular basis.

There have been many occasions where PACT has decided not to take on more animals because they are financially unable to do so, yet when an animal is in need of urgent care, they still show up. PACT will never ignore an animal’s cry for help, and so I hope to raise funds to help them do continue to do just that.
