Personal message

We are raising funds for the restoration of the old vintage windows at our lovely double story home which provides stay for 28 survivors of abuse, rape and ladies considering adoption, at any single time.

A bit of history - our home was designed by the legendary South African architect Sir Herbert Baker – who also designed many noteworthy landmarks in the country including the Union Buildings in Pretoria, and Saint Georges Cathedral and Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. This home/shelter, ironically, had been the home of the famous Afrikaans poet, Louis Leipoldt.

We have received an estimated quote for approximately R200K to repair, restore and fix these sash windows (about 40) which consist of wooden frames and pulley systems. Kindly consider to donate for 1 or more windows to be restored.
