My heart wrenches as I recount the journey my sister has been on since being diagnosed with breast cancer at the tender age of 14. Each day is a battle against excruciating pain that keeps her from attending school.
Our financial struggles only exacerbate her suffering; my mother, unable to find employment, grapples with the weight of providing for our family's basic needs.
Tragically, we find ourselves unable to afford essential medications, leaving my sister without the relief she so desperately needs. Moreover, the costs of transportation to her chemotherapy appointments are simply beyond our means. It's a cruel irony that the very treatment she requires to fight this disease is also the source of immense financial strain for our family.
With your generous donations, we hope to alleviate some of the burdens that weigh heavily upon us. Your contributions will enable us to cover the expenses of her transportation to medical appointments, ensuring she receives the vital care she requires without additional stress or worry. Additionally, we'll be able to purchase the strong painkillers she needs to manage her discomfort effectively, allowing her to reclaim some semblance of a normal life, including attending school without the constant agony that plagues her.
Furthermore, we aim to provide her with clothing that doesn't exacerbate her pain, as tight garments only serve to intensify her suffering. Your support will empower us to afford clothing that is both comfortable and dignified, sparing her the embarrassment of bleeding through her attire due to the discomfort caused by tight clothing.
In total, we estimate that the expenses for transportation, medication, and suitable clothing will amount to approximately R35,000.
Thank you for considering our plea.
