My name is Ofentse Letanta and I am 21 years old, born and raised in Sebokeng (Vaal). I lost my mother when I was 7 years old and I was under the care of my grandmother ever since. I have always been interested in pursuing a career in Chemistry. I am a dedicated and hard working student who is passionate about learning and making a difference in the world. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry at NWU and I was funded by NSFAS but unfortunately I still have some outstanding fees that they have not paid and I have tried by all means to request them to pay but no luck. The school told me it is now my responsibility to pay the remaining amount and unfortunately I cannot afford to as the only income my household receives is my grandmother’s pension and it cannot cover that amount. I won’t be able to graduate until those outstanding fees are paid, I would appreciate any financial assistance I can get. I would be the first graduate in my family so graduating means a lot to me and I just want to make my grandmother proud, to show her that all her efforts and sacrifices she has done for me to get education has paid off. Any amount of donations I can receive would be very much appreciated and I thank you in advance.
