Personal message

I am currently working as an intern at King's School in Goodwood, Cape Town. Last year, I found myself on a new journey, pursuing a PGCE qualification as mandated by the Department of Education for continued internship or future employment at the school. While my background is in visual art, I was assigned to teach Life Orientation and Conversational Xhosa, subjects requiring the PGCE for SACE Certificate.

Seeking financial assistance, I applied for a bursary last year as I couldn't afford the expenses on my own. However, the response only came this year, indicating they would cover current expenses but not the outstanding debt from the previous year. This poses a significant challenge as I cannot proceed with my studies this year without clearing the previous debt. Therefore, my internship is at risk, as failing to obtain the necessary certification would render me ineligible to continue teaching.

In an effort to overcome this hurdle, I've launched this campaign seeking support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated. Your assistance will enable me to complete my studies and safeguard my job security.
