Hi, I am Gizelle Loots and I am from Hout Bay, Western Cape.

Norman Nel Has been Bedridden for over 5 Years and weighs around 250kg, We have taken it upon ourselves at Banting Baker Gigi to provide sponsorship for Norman's meals and meal plans, and have since been offered the sponsorships of various items for his household.  

We still require the sponsorship of a bed as he is isolated to a bed 24hrs a day, he needs medical attention as he has a hernia that has popped right out before and was pushed back in, but he is too large for an operation. This sponsorship page will be very transparent and we will document everything that the funds are used for.

Norman is a 42-year-old male he is my husband and we live in Bellville Western Cape.

Norman cannot stand or walk due to being bedridden for the past 5 years he is a big man with a small heart who always looks out and after his family and I think it is time I try and help him, try to get my family back and my marriage as normal people. Norman has not been off the bed at all since 2016 due to being about 240/250 kg his only wish is for the feel of fresh wind or some sunshine felt on his skin besides the wish to be able to walk again or even just move around in a wheelchair which he can fit into. I see and feel his broken heart everyday myself and my daughter of 14 has also not been away from the house for more than 2 hours max as he cannot walk and needs help often.

For myself, I can see the embarrassment in his eyes every time he needs to use the loo and cannot and need to ask me for help but you know as they say you are married for good and bad times. My biggest wish in life is for Norman and myself to have a normal life again. He is someone who gives 150 percent commitment and I know he will be able to do this with the correct love and support.

Norman is also a diabetic please help me to help Norman take back his life to become the person he is deep down, life has knocked him down but he will rise again.

They say life begins at 40 please help me to make his new healthy walking life begin at 42.
