Might Rovers Netball Club

Charity Default Logo

Mighty Rovers is a netball club based in Khayelitsha in the informal settlement. It was formed in 2011 and was registered as an NPO. We have never been funded.

The club owns everything from our pockets, mostly mine as the founder. We strive to better young kids and youth by keeping them busy with sports activities and away from crime, drugs and alcohol, but that comes with significant challenges.

These kids can't even afford training shoes; some play barefoot. They don't have proper sports gear. We have four divisions under 11, 13, and 16 and seniors. We need help, even in terms of transportation.

We are Affiliated with the local netball league, and we have to travel every weekend; sometimes, these kids don't even have food, so we try our best and do what we can. What is motivating is that these youngsters are so talented and love sports despite these challenges.

We have specific colours for our club, it's Royal blue and gold. Any help will be highly appreciated.
