Greetings. 

 

My name is Nompilo. I created this campaign because I need funding to pay off my tuition debt at the University of the Witwatersrand in order to graduate in April this year.

 

In December 2023, I completed my studies towards a BA Degree in International Relations and Media Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. 

 

Throughout the duration of my degree, I did not have a bursary or any financial aid, the only assistance I have received was through the university itself. The outstanding debt continues to garner interest and this has been very discouraging.

 

Payment towards my fees will enable me to graduate in April this year. Graduating is a big deal to me because I will be the first girl (of 3) to graduate from university. Graduating will also allow me to pursue work and internship opportunities with confidence.

 

The deadline for the settlement of my fees is on Friday, 23 February 2024 at 15:00, if these fees are not settled, I will not be able to graduate this year.

 

If I exceed the goal, I would like to register for my Honours degree in International Relations as I have an offer but I have not registered yet due to the lack of funding.
