Personal message

Meet our first candidate, a dedicated cook in Cape Town, courageously battling fibroids. As a single working woman with no family in the country, she persists in pursuing her passion despite being compromised by a tumour weighing 18-20kg and compromising the basic functions of adjacent organs like her lungs and intestines. Her community has expressed urgent need for intervention based on her rapid weight loss and visible disfigurement.

Having had the privilege of meeting this resilient woman, our immediate community is committed to helping her understand the changes she has ignored due to a lack of information. In turn, we aspire to assist more individuals suffering from fibroids in finding relief and regaining control of their lives. Fibroids bring about severe pain, hormonal imbalance, and physical disfigurations, affecting the professional journey of working women. We are dedicated to ensuring that these women have access to the care and treatment they need, allowing them to excel in their chosen careers.

To achieve our goals, we are launching a fundraising campaign that focuses on HR education to enlighten employees about the effects of fibroids and reduce the stigma surrounding uterine health in the workplace.

The funds raised will be utilized to:

  1. Facilitate HR specialists on the impact of fibroids on female employees through a subscription online platform.
  2. Provide financial assistance to identified individuals who cannot afford fibroid diagnosis by a trusted medical practitioner.
  3. Manage the treatment process through private or public medical hospitals.
  4. Offer aftercare through a care facility or daily nurse.
  5. Supplement lost income during recovery for basic living expenses for minimum-wage working women.
  6. Raise awareness about fibroids and their impact on lives through content directed at senior leaders, founders, and HR specialists.

For more information about the impact of fibroids and treatment options, please visit https://www.fibroids.co.za/fibroids/.

In the near future, we aim to collaborate with the Department of Health, UCT, Pathcare, and the African Union to support the collection of data that will accurately demonstrate the funding required to manage resources in private and public healthcare. Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of those affected by fibroids. Whether it's a small or large contribution, your generosity will help us create a world where working women have the chance to live a pain-free, fulfilling life, uncompromised by a radical disability.

To contribute to our cause, please visit our dedicated fundraising page: [Insert Link to Your Fundraising Page]. If you would like to discuss sponsorship opportunities or other ways to support our campaign, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

We are immensely grateful for your consideration and invite you to be a part of our journey to change lives and provide hope to those who need it most.
