Dear friends and family:
I have entered the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Tour - a 94.7km cycle route (I will refrain from using the term "race" for obvious reasons), which takes place in Johannesburg on 16 November 2014. As many of you know, I have only recently managed to ride a reasonable distance without my training wheels, and would really appreciate your support and encouragement to help get me across the finish line!
I have decided to “ride for a purpose” and will be supporting Rainbows and Smiles Childhood Cancer Foundation. They are a small foundation that aims to provide emotional, social and financial support to children, and families/caregivers of children, diagnosed with cancer.

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
