PACT has faced the most challenges over the past year. When Covid 19 hit we ended up with double the number of cases and half the amount of donations. Fundraising events are cancelled and the number of mouths we feed went from over 100 to now over 600 animals. The vet bills are soaring and we are dependent on donations to stay afloat.

Last year taking part in the PACT Kennel Challenge helped us pay some vet bills and treat more animals. I was also able to highlight the plight of captive animals and specifically the plight of chained animals.

We spent 12 hours chained to a kennel in the cold and it was rough. A lot of people were given some insight into what chained dogs go through their whole life.

There are so many cases that we need to attend to but we are crippled by the lack of funds. We have a long waiting list of animals to be sterilized and no money to do so and we are unable to help more animals because we lack funds to help us build our shelter.

Reaching my target will not only mean that PACT can afford to pay some vet bills so we can help more animals but we can also ensure that we pay kennel fees and buy materials to help build our much-needed kennels.
