 I am a purveyor of classic automotive art and an all-around petrol head. We were fortunate enough to make our passion a full-time job and I joined Wat Swaai Jy. in 2016.

I am involved in the financial and marketing side of the business and thoroughly enjoy spending my days surrounded by automotive masterpieces. I enjoy being hands-on and just completed a full nut and bolt restoration on a 1967 Mini Cooper. Yes, I do lift the hood and get into it myself. And this will be the car I compete with at the Simola Hill Climb 2021.

What I appreciate most about classic cars is the attention to detail, body lines, craftsmanship, and all-around character and history of the vehicles. Driving a classic vehicle is an absolute treat, it requires a great deal of manual input from the driver which makes it a very satisfying and rewarding experience. It is truly a privilege to share this passion with my husband Corber and being part of a hub for like-minded individuals.

This will be the first official race I am competing in and it is a privilege to be part of the HillClimb Ladies Team whose aim is to
“Race for dreams and drive for change” The charity we are supporting this year is the Knysna Sedgefield Hospice- please get involved, make a donation if you can and lets’ work towards uplifting our beautiful country and its people.

The funds I hope to raise will assist Knysna Sedgefield Hospice to offer:

1. Palliative, home-based care for those individuals suffering from a life-threatening illness.
2. To support the right to decent and dignified end-of-life care.
3. To provide the best possible holistic palliative care and support.
4. A multi-disciplinary team that works together to give hope, dignity, and relief to every patient, as well as bereavement, and other support to their children and families.

Donations
