Personal message
Hi Everyone,
I am working towards my Leaping Wolf Cub Badge which is the highest achivement a cub can get. Part of the badge is setting myself a tough challenge, planning it and acheiving it. For My Challenge I have chosen to ride a mountain bike race called the Cradle Mountain Trophy www.mountain-trophy.co.za. I will be doing the 25 km race on Sunday 7th April. Not only have I challenged myself to ride 25 km in the Cradle but I have also undertaken to raise money and awareness for The Footprints 4 Sam Trust which I feel is a very worthy cause and is personal for me. Please read about Sam's story on this link https://www.footprints4sam.org/
Thank you so much for the support.
Seb

The Footprints 4 Sam Trust

Footprints 4 Sam is a Trust formed in memory of Samuel John Frederick Platt. A beautiful boy known to all those that love him as Sam. Sam spent his entire life in hospital, all fifteen and half months having never had the opportunity to go outside and play or go home.
Following Sam’s death, Fred and Melissa wanted Sam’s healthcare journey, which was far from perfect, to offer change, hope, dignity, mutual respect and connectedness for other children and families in similar situations. This was the start of Footprints 4 Sam.
The Trust fulfils this dream through a few simple initiatives aimed at serving underprivileged children and their families as each day they face the difficult journey of living with a life limiting condition. These complex conditions are often burdensome to the family and the Trust’s 6 key initiatives offer something tangible and beautiful in the midst of much pain and suffering.
It is our mission to leave Footprints of change in neonatal and paediatric wards countrywide, through the cultivation of a healthcare culture of swift and broad-based intervention, early diagnosis and real and achievable family centred solutions, which promote excellence of life for both child and family. Changing lives one footprint at a time…
