Personal message

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am Head of Department of Life Orientation at King David High School Victory Park.  Life Orientation is a learning area imbued with imparting values, morals, ethics and social and familial responsibility to learners of all ages.  I am constantly encouraging my learners to participate in community awareness projects and to give of their time to worthwhile causes.

As a full-time educator, it is not often that I am able to participate in large scale extra-curricular charitable events and Walk The Talk presents such an opportunity.  I am joining the Afrika Tikkun Walk The Talk team for their 8km trot and ask you to sponsor me so that I too can raise money for Afrika Tikkun and give back to this wonderful organization!

It costs R2160 a year to send a child to one of Afrika Tikkun's Early Childhood Development Centres (E.C.D).  Children that attend E.C.D are less likely to turn to crime, and are more likely to become productive citizens. This will then have a direct result in overall economic improvement and we will have stronger and healthier communities!

Please support me in this awesome challenge!

Afrika Tikkun

Charity Default Logo

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
