Hello, I am Mikyla Berry and I am raising money to help me pay for my university tuition. I'm turning 19 this year and I've worked hard to get into the university of my dreams but sadly, my family is stricken with poverty and thus we cannot afford it. I have applied for bursaries but we have no idea when or even if I'll receive one. While waiting I have to manage living costs and tuition costs as well as buying school books. I wouldn't have done this if things weren't dire but my mom said that if things don't work out, I'll just have to give up. I really dont want my dreams to be crushed so please help me by donating or sharing my story. Anything helps. Even recommending other bursaries I can apply for would be helpful. I'll be studying Education to get a B ED in senior phase and FET teaching, which means I teach students from grade 8 to 12. My focus areas being English and one other subject, either Biology, Computer Applications Technology or Mathematical Literacy. In my first year I'll be studying all these subjects as well as Afrikaans. Please support a future teacher in their dreams. Neither one of my parents have gone to college and all they have is their matric certificate so this is a big deal for me. The funds raised will be used to pay off the debt of my first month in uni if I dont get a bursary. If I do get a bursary, I wont withdraw the money from here or I will withdraw the money and give it to a charity.
