Personal message

1. I am writing this message on behalf of myself, as I need help and unfortunately do not have the funds/medical aid or friends who have that kind of money. I am 52 years old with 2 children—age 13 years for the boy and 18 years for the girl.

2. I know most people think it is just for cosmetic reasons, but I am constantly getting infections and in pain, and my face swells up horribly. Dentistry is, unfortunately, an expensive procedure.

3. Over the past few years, I have been losing my teeth; they just seem to be breaking off little by little, and it has been extremely hard. The biggest problem is the top teeth; the bottom ones are a bit better. My concern right now is the top, and those teeth that are there are very brittle and loose. All I want is to be able to SMILE again, and that always lifts spirits up! In the beginning, when it was one or 2, it was still okay, but now that more are gone, I don't feel like smiling anymore. It is also hard to find employment when you look bad and can't smile at anyone. I love laughing and smiling, but lately, it just does not happen, as I just look horrible, and for my kids to see this is also sad.

4. On Dentistry: This procedure is by no means small, as they have to pull out what is left, then they have to try to replace what they can via implants or, if not, dentures at least. If there is anyone out there who can help me and pay it forward, I would truly appreciate it!
