Personal message

Those that know me will recognise my love of the outdoors and all things to do with exercise and adventure. The Cape Town Cycle Tour has been a lifelong aspiration which I finally achieved for the first time in 2018.

I will be riding in my second Cape Town Cycle Tour in 2019 but this time I will be riding not only for myself but for a young man named Sipho who I was privileged to meet when I joined Home of Hopes “Ride for a Child” fundraising team.

Home of Hope cares for abused and abandoned children and hopefully I can do my part in ensuring that this Children’s Home is able to keep helping children in need by raising awareness and much needed funds.

Please help me reach this goal by pledging your support and your donations to this worthy cause.

Thank you.

Charity Default Logo

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.

The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
