Personal message

As a former British Soldier i have had the oportunities to travel and live in some of the worst environments on Earth but have been astounded by what man can tolerate and survive. It is the wonderful human attributes that is most noticable to me in the children of this world that always puts a smile on my face. To see children in -30 degrees playing in the street or in the tonships malnourished running down the road playing with his wheel with not a concern in the world is to me the ultimate in human spirit. This is projected further in those with disabilities, in my experience i find it hard to remember a child that han't touched my heart with there determination to live and enjoy what they have.

This is why i have decided to test my determination by entering the Addo 89km Extreme Marathon in March 2011, and raise much needed funds for a Foundation that does so much for the children i have been talking about. Please if you are reading this take the time to visit the site www.sabrinalove.co.za.

The run will take place in Addo game reserve in the middle of South African summer, not only is it a tough route in sweltering heat but there are also the Zurberg mountains to contend with. I expect this race to take me in the region of 12-17 hours and ask to give generously for such a good cause.

Many Thanks

Mark
