Hi, my name is Dieter Terblanche and I want to raise funds for a friends wife:  (Reitz, South Africa)

On September 3, 2023, Marionè, her mother-in-law and mother-in-law's brother were on their way to the Bethlehem Medi-Clinic after the brother was injured in a wildfire on Reitz.

On the way to Bethlehem, the vehicle's tire burst, and the vehicle rolled. Everyone in the vehicle sustained injuries. Upon arrival at Bethlehem Mediclinic, they immediately transferred Marionè by helicopter to Milpark Trauma hospital in Johannesburg.

Marionè had multiple broken bones as well as severe head injuries. Marionè was in a coma for about 3 months. She was connected to life support machines.

Due to her brain injury, she cannot speak, move, or swallow. She is fed with a stomach tube. Marionè needs regular physio to relieve her spasm. She will also need total care for the rest of her life, according to the doctor.

Marionè is currently in Hillandale rehab in Bloemfontein where she is receiving fantastic treatment. Marionè benefits tremendously from the treatment. The medical aid was very good to up to date but now they told us that they will not be paying for the rehab anymore.

The family is therefore paying now, but they will not be able to continue because of the ammount that must be paid every month.

Your contribution will help to keep Marionè longer in rehab, giving her a chance to receive the best treatment and care for as long as possible and it will also help with other medical expenses that can occur.  If she must go home, your contribution will also help to give her the best treatment and make her life as comfortable as can be.
