Personal message

My name is Marincha van der Merwe. A 24 year old Honours student (one year course) at North West University in Potchefstroom, North West Province.

Appreciating the change to bring my utter inner self to gentle angels that does not even know me. I completed my degree in Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) in Sport Coaching and Human Movement Science and have been blessed with a NSFAS bursary that took so much stress from my Mother (single mother for 24 years).  Without that bursary it would have been not possible to obtain my degree.

Prayers were there my whole life for the opportunity to graduate. I was blessed to become Head girl in Primary school and High school and all the obstacles in life were gathered to make stepping stones.Nothing comes easy except to count my blessing every single day.  Unfortunately, NSFAS does not fund postgraduate degrees. As there is very few Health Science bursaries and the fact that Kinderkinetic bursaries are few, the challenge to keep the door open and make my childhood dream come true, is tightening my faith, but I will not be negatively overwhelmed by my own fears!

 I graduated in 2021 and from there I assist part time as a swimming coach at a Kinderkinetics practice in Potchefstroom and also helped with the orientation of kids for me to earn extra pocket money. Unfortunately it was not enough to even kick start me in 2023. My Mother is single from my birth. She also can not take out a loan big enough to cover my book fees and accommodation as her secretary salary doesn't allow it. Further on is the registration fee and class fees for this year R43 865.00.   I am really blessed to have been accepted to do my Honours.  To achieve this Honours degree in Kinderkinetics will let me help other children with fears and disabilities (mentally and physically) and with their overall motor development (0-13 years).

Therefore, all the angels that read this humbly request for financial support, any type of support will be appreciated . You won't be disappointment. I will do my utter most best in this year. I am a dedicated, positive young woman with a sparkling attitude and a God fearing heart. I will not disappoint myself either.
