Personal message

I, Shirley Jack, am initiating a fundraising effort for Margaret Freestone, a cherished friend and colleague from Stanford Lake College, with whom I've shared over 21 years of admiration for her firm ideals and life outlook. Margaret, the former librarian at Stanford Lake College, left a lasting impact on countless young lives through her unwavering passion for books, reading, language use, and her dedicated outreach initiatives, including building libraries, creating vegetable gardens, and engaging in various educational projects.

Her commitment to improving English language skills and poetry understanding among Stanford pupils, along with her involvement in Bridge, public speaking, and debating, showcases her multifaceted contributions to education. Despite facing cancer in 2015, Margaret's resilience prevailed, but the illness has returned, requiring ultrasounds, scans, and an upcoming operation, adding financial strain due to her limited pension and lack of medical aid.

In response, I've launched a BackaBuddy campaign, urging generous donations to support Margaret in her current health challenges, as she navigates the path of treatment and recovery. Your contributions to this worthy cause will make a meaningful difference.
