Personal message

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Children in the Wilderness is a wonderful non-profit organization run by incredible people. Please donate generously. Your donation will help to make it possible for CIW staffers to take children from the rural villages into safari camps for 6 days of life skills training and teaching conservation methods with the idea that the next generation of adults will have the desire and ability to make Africa a better place.

This four day fundraising ride, called Tour de Tuli will take place August 3-8, 2010 and will take approx. 270 mountain bikers from around the world through 220 miles of wilderness on mostly single track trails following various migration routes in restricted wilderness areas in S. Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We will be lead by guides on mountain bikes and will be sleeping in tents set up by the volunteer staff that we will meet up with each night. I am honored to be one of the official photographers- So far the only professional photographer to ride the tour while photographing it.  When I return from this epic journey I will be posting on line the best of the images. For each 775.00 Rand (100 US dollars) in donations you make you will be given a free 8x10 as a thank you gift- Just notify me with your favorite image(s) and I'll take care of the rest.  You may view last year's images here: http://turville.zenfolio.com/tourdetuli09 Also, there will be an open house event at Turville Photography after my return featuring South African food, wine and images from the ride. If you would like to be put on the guest list for this free event please email me at [email protected]

I am on facebook and will be detailing my training and preparations as they occur. I will be returning August 10th so look for the on line posting of images a couple of weeks after that.

Many thanks for your support, I appreciate it very much!

Steve
