Personal message
Abandoned, desolate, and without hope. This is how the story for most of these children from the Nuba Mountains of Sudan begins. BUT, as the slogan of a dear friend's WhatsApp states, it's time to start writing a new end.
Through the 4J Children's project, in 2022 focused specifically in the Kandaka orphan school in the Nuba Mountains, Lizl van Heerden wants to, with others, help the children in practical ways.
Lizl specifically wants to help a girl named Firhal. Her father left when she was 2 years old. This means she has almost never seen him (not grown up knowing her father or the love of her father). Her father died in the civil war. She now very much continues with her studies at Kandaka Orphanage primary school.
By supporting this cause, you would help Lizl to make a practical and eternal impact on Firhal's life.

S4J is a fundraiser where athletes who run the Comrades marathon (and other races) raise funds to help the people of Sudan and South Sudan. We focus on providing help to war victims, as well as those in avoided and neglected communities where help is needed most.
The primary focus is providing these communities with access to clean water and assistance to those who share the Good News of Jesus Christ to those in need.
